Over a million wins every day

More than a million prizes of varying amounts are won in Veikkaus games every day. Prize amounts range from tens of cents in online casino and slot games to jackpot wins of tens of millions of euros in lottery-style games of chance. Every year, our games award dozens of prizes worth more than one million euros. Explore the biggest wins of all time in Finnish.

Wins from our online casino every day

Prizes are won every day from our Nettikasino (Online Casino) and Livekasino (Live Casino) in table games, various card games, and slot games alike. In addition to chance, the probability of winning and the size of the prize are influenced by the game’s volatility and return-to-player percentage.

Prize amounts vary between different games and game types. Winnings can range from a few cents up to one million euros, which is the maximum possible prize on our online casino.

The top prize can be won either in certain slot games or through a progressive jackpot shared by several games. In recent years, the one-million-euro top prize has been won a few times each year. Wins of tens or hundreds of thousands of euros are won on our online casino every week.

Veikkaus Games

Big wins from Pitkäveto and Moniveto

Sports betting is popular among Finns, and Veikkaus’s different betting formats have a long history. Pitkäveto has been part of our game selection for more than 30 years, and the biggest win in the game’s history is 1,966,000 euros.

Moniveto, a game developed by Veikkaus as the first gambling company to create it, also appeals to sports fans and those hungry for big wins—and for good reason: players win tens and hundreds of thousands of euros in Moniveto. Moniveto events include, for example, football or ice hockey matches.

Eurojackpot is a multinational jackpot game

In addition to Finland, Eurojackpot is played in nearly 20 European countries. The game has two weekly draws: on Tuesdays and Fridays. The top prizes in Eurojackpot range from 10 million to 120 million euros. Finland’s biggest gambling win of all time, nearly 92 million euros, was won in Siilinjärvi in 2019. The Eurojackpot top prize has landed in Finland 25 times.

The pan-European Eurojackpot draw is conducted in Pasila, Finland. Veikkaus has been involved in Eurojackpot since its launch, and played a key role in creating this popular game.

Lotto for the whole nation

The oldest of our draw games that has produced million-euro wins is the classic Saturday Lotto. People dream of winning the lottery, and for many Finns the dreaming is even more important than the excitement of the draw itself. The first Lotto draw was held in the 1970s. The biggest jackpot in the game’s history is 16 million euros. On the biggest jackpot rounds, more than one million Finns try their luck at matching all seven numbers in Saturday’s Lotto.

Jokeri brings millions

Jokeri is played four times a week (Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat), and each draw offers a jackpot of one million euros. If the doubling feature hits, the Jokeri jackpot rises to two million euros. Over the decades, Jokeri has been played with different numbers of digits and different play formats. Today, seven numbers are drawn in Jokeri.

Million-euro wins from racetracks

Harness racing is best experienced live. Finland has dozens of racetracks, extending even north of the Arctic Circle. Races are held somewhere in Finland every day of the year. Veikkaus’s TotoTV broadcasts all Finnish harness races that are part of Toto betting live to viewers.

Toto betting and harness racing are closely connected. The biggest Toto win in Finnish history was won in 2013. The prize came from a Toto75 round raced at Bjerke in Norway, and the winning amount was 2,746,222 euros.
