Veikkaus awarded the Age Certificate – recognition for age equality in the workplace
Veikkaus has been granted the Age Certificate, which serves as a concrete recognition of the company’s development of an equal and diverse work community.
The certificate is awarded by Excellence Finland for a three-year period and demonstrates that at Veikkaus, employees of all ages are treated equally at different stages of their careers.

Age equality is about action
Receiving the certificate is not a given; rather, it is the result of persistent work and concrete actions to promote an equal and diverse work community.
The assessment particularly emphasized Veikkaus’s efforts to support employees of different ages, value the expertise of more experienced professionals, and enable mentoring in everyday work.
– The application process was an excellent opportunity for us to pause and consider all the good things we are already doing and where we can still improve. We support the career development of Veikkaus employees of all ages through initiatives such as the ‘From Junior to Expert’ playbook, internal transitions, and a mentoring program. We are committed to ensuring that every Veikkaus employee feels valued, regardless of age, says Laaksonen.
