Velipekka Nummikoski to leave Veikkaus

Velipekka Nummikoski is leaving Veikkaus. His last working day at Veikkaus will be 31 August 2026.

Nummikoski has worked at Veikkaus since 2012. He started as CEO of Finland’s Slot Machine Association, RAY, and from 2017 served as Executive Vice President of Veikkaus. In this role, he was responsible for areas including public affairs, sustainability and communications. Most recently, he has worked on various projects under CEO Olli Sarekoski.

– Velipekka Nummikoski has had a long and highly respected career at Veikkaus and has served in several demanding leadership positions. I would like to warmly thank him for his significant contribution to the company, says Olli Sarekoski, CEO of Veikkaus.

– I started as CEO of RAY in 2012, at a time when digitalization was beginning to transform the gambling industry. I have had the opportunity to be involved both in the merger of three companies into the new Veikkaus and in the journey towards a competitive market. It has been a great privilege to work at the heart of this transformation. Next year, Veikkaus will enter a new era, and at the same time it will also be my turn to move towards a new challenge.
