Winners are all different

Winners are as diverse as people themselves. However, the typical Finnish big winner tends to be down-to-earth: they don’t flaunt their money, and the win is usually kept within a small circle. Many are happy to use their winnings to help others. While money itself doesn’t bring happiness, winners often say it makes life easier and less stressful.

Does a big win change your life?

We asked big winners if they had noticed any changes in how other people treat them after their win.

Half of the respondents said that people’s attitudes had changed somewhat, and nearly a quarter (24%) noticed only slight changes. Thirteen percent felt that attitudes had changed a great deal, while 12% hadn’t noticed any change at all.
