Procurement

We work in collaboration with a broad network of suppliers. Each year, we carry out over 20 public procurement procedures, in addition to a significant number of purchases made under existing framework agreements. We also make use of joint procurement arrangements provided by Hansel.

Veikkaus is a public contracting authority and complies with the Finnish Act on Public Procurement and the procurement procedures set out therein.

In accordance with the requirements of procurement legislation, we select suppliers openly, without discrimination and with fairness, choosing those whose products and services best support Veikkaus’s business success. In supplier and product selection, we place particular emphasis on quality, responsibility, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

The Act on Public Procurement requires that procurements exceeding the threshold value be publicly and transparently tendered. We publish all such procurement notices on the HILMA notification channel: www.hankintailmoitukset.fi.
